It is largely inhabited by Christians, a powerful
subtribe of the Hypocrites, whose principal industries are murder and cheating, which they are pleased to call "war" and "commerce." These, also, are the principal industries of the Orient.
The Meru also brought Miraa that was shared among guests to show that they are married in line with the Igembe
subtribe tradition.

Recently, phylogenetic analyses of Lychnophorinae using morphological and molecular data (Loeuille et al., 2015a, b), indicated that this
subtribe is monophyletic when it includes the Centratherinae and Sipolisiinae
subtribes and small Blanchetia and Gorceixia genera, furthermore, putative chemical synapomorphies reinforce this idea (Lusa et al., 2017).
Susanna, Genus Artemisa and its allies, phylogeny of the

Their great external similarity led Johnston (1956) to group the first three of these genera (Veseyacris was described later), together with Segellia Karsch, 1891, Auloserpusia Rehn, 1914, Pteropera Karsch, 1891, Coenona Karsch, 1896 and Serpusilla Ramme, 1931 in a
subtribe Serpusiae.
